Easy Preschool Crafts

When you are preparing your lesson plans for your preschoolers, you need to provide easy preschool crafts. You may have younger two year olds or older children who may not have the same motor skills as their peers and your plans definitely need to incorporate their needs and abilities.

Creating success for your students while teaching them is a key goal for your easy preschool crafts. They need to see that they can do and create something that gives them the feeling of success and cabilities.

MINI POTSEasy Pre-school Crafts

Toddlers enjoy playing with clay. Show them how to roll a piece of clay into a ball and then press their thumbs into the center to make an impression. Next they can continue to gently hollow out the sides to make their own pot. If you use clay, it will hold its shape. If you are using playdough, allow it to harden. This is an excellent fine motor activity.

TISSUE PAPER SCULPTURE

Have the children tear tissue paper into small pieces. Size and shape don’t matter so this is perfect for this age. In a small bowl mix equal parts of glue and water. Show them how to crumple the paper into wads, and then dip these wads of colorful paper into the glue and stick it onto a piece of cardstock or cardboard. They can create their own sculpture!

Try these easy preschool crafts with your two and three year olds. Don't be surprised if even your older preschoolers will join in and enjoy these as well. Everyone benefits from feeling capable and creating gifts for mom and dad that they will enjoy, all while learning new skills without even knowing they are doing so.
